Our team has been hard at work creating some epic TVCs for our amazing client: Spotify. We are proud to share the first of this series of new adverts, starting with this one today, for Spotify Nigeria.
We asked Mokgethwa Machaka, Machine_ senior copywriter, who worked on this campaign, to share some insight into this first video.
“Nigerians are massively proud of their country, culture, heritage, and music,” says Mokgethwa. “In fact, music has become a symbol of national pride for Nigerians. They find their ‘Nigerianness’ and identity through their music, and they aren’t afraid to say this is who we are, and this is what we do. Through various occasions and locations, we showed how Spotify can amplify a normal celebration to a Loudly Nigerian one,” explains Mokgethwa.
“Most people don’t realise the amount of work and time it takes to make just one 30 second ad. It takes a village. It takes a village on steroids, a village committed to creating something new, something inspired, something tangible. These are just a few members of that village,” says Sithabile (Star) Kachisa, Head of Marketing for Spotify Sub-Saharan Africa.
The rest of the Spotify TVCs will be showcased on our social media and YouTube channels throughout the month, so keep an eye out. Follow us here: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube.
A huge congratulations to everyone who worked on this amazing campaign, to our Executive Creative Director, Jabulani Sigege and the Machine_ creative team, to Left Post Production, Audio Militia and the production team at our sister company, Prodigious, who helped bring it all together – thank you!
